WHAT TO BRING

We are at an altitude of 4000 feet and our weather can change quickly. Wearing clothing that you can layer is ideal.

Clothing:

  • Riding boots with a one-inch heel are recommended - no sandals for riding
  • A cowboy hat or baseball cap (which you will be asked to secure with a hat clip or leather string).
  • Riding or bike helmet for children (optional)
  • Jeans are best for riding
  • Long-sleeved shirt
  • A sweater or fleece for layering
  • Slicker or water-repellent jacket for those uncommon, but sometimes surprise, periods of rain
  • Warm jacket and gloves for spring and fall riding
  • Swimsuit for hot tub and swimming

Other:

  • Sunscreen, bug repellent.
  • Camera
  • Alcoholic beverages, if you wish to enjoy them during your stay. A liquor outlet is 10 minutes away.
  • If fishing is on the agenda you will need a freshwater license which can be purchased en route, at the neighboring resort or the general store.
